Cancer Treatment for Nathaniel Burrell

Nathaniel Burrell passed into the arms of Jesus at 10:30 AM EST on August 26, 2019.  We greatly appreciate all that everyone did to help extend
Nathaniel's life.  We are heartbroken and will always miss his beautiful spirit.  The comfort we have is in that we know he is not suffering any longer and that he is in Heaven and we will see him again someday.  To tell all of you how truly blessed we have been by the generosity and caring hearts of so many doesn't seem to even touch on things.   We couldn't have done half of what we did for Nathaniel without you.  May God Bless each and every one of you for all that you did to help our family.  We are eternally grateful.-The Burrell Family.

My Goal to reach funds necessary to help save my life is $15,000.00  This GoFundMe Campaign has been around since my cancer diagnosis in 2017.  So the funds it shows that I have (I actually no longer have...it has what has been used and then some, to help prolong my life using alternative treatments)  The goal amount has been changed to reflect the difference in what GoFundMe says that I have reached to what I actually need to get to
$15,000.

Hi my name is Nathaniel Burrell.  On September 4th, 2017 at the age of 18 – Having just graduated Dexter High School in Dexter, Michigan and after attending two classes at Washtenaw Community College I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma.  I have spent the last 18+ months dealing with cancer which would include nearly two months in the hospital in order to; initially save my life, I have had bone marrow aspirations, CT scans, PET scans, MRIs, several surgeries and seemingly countless, all day, Chemotherapy and Radiation visits.  I have been employed since the age of 16 at Meijer Grocery Store on Jackson Road in Ann Arbor, MI but have been unable to work since my diagnosis.

Recently I was informed that the chemotherapy and radiation are not going to be adequate to save my life and the best that I might hope for is a short extension of my life unless I seek treatment outside of the United States.  I was able to leave the United States thanks to the wonderful support and help of all the donors.  The trip to Germany was so helpful to me and I felt better than I had ever felt since being diagnosed with cancer.  I unfortunately got ill (presumably from a live virus) and had to cut my trip short and leave Germany.  My mission is now to get some of the same treatments in the United States along with new ones that could help save my life.

All of the money raised in this campaign has been used to cover expenses for both myself and my father, Michael Burrell (US Army Veteran) to go to
Hannover, Germany.  Expenses covered included, but were not limited to airfare and local travel, lodging, food, medicine and to pay for my cancer
treatment which was entirely out of pocket.  These costs were approximately $20,000.  As you can see, we have used the funds already donated along with our own savings and the savings donated from family to pay for this trip and medical care.  I do not believe this trip was in vain.  I saw the effects of the treatment and would love to continue them and I can do that but only with everyone's help. 

I have found a clinic in the United States and Mexico that does much of the same treatments that I was receiving in Germany and there is also a promising treatment that is being offered at this clinic that could greatly benefit me as well.  This treatment is called 3BP/3-BP/ 3-Bromopyruvate. 
The clinic is called the Dayspring Cancer Clinic and the Clinic of Light in Mexico.

I obviously, do not have the funds to go to any of these places to explore options at this time but am hoping to raise the money needed through fundraisers and donations to help save my life.  Time is of the essence for me.  Things have changed rapidly for me and I am afraid to wait longer.
