Nasha Padilla in Sweden

Hi Everyone!

My name is Nasha P. Padilla and I am a young soprano of 22 years from Puerto Rico. I am a candidate for bachelor's degree in classical vocal performance in the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico. I recently participated in the "Classical Singers Vocal Competition & Convention" in Boston, Massachusetts. This event is dedicated to offering scholarships, workshops and study opportunities to students who excel in it. Fortunately this year I was recognized with the first place in the "University Advance" category, being the only Puerto Rican to achieve it. In addition to the first place, I was awarded a scholarship to participate in a Vocal Summer Program in Kramfors, Sweden in July of this year. The scholarship helps me cover some expenses, however I must complete the expenses of lodging, tickets and transportation myself.

"Kashu-do (The Way of the Singer) Intensive Summer Sessions" is a 15-day intensive summer program, from July 8-23, 2018. The tuition is $ 1,800 per person and this includes presentations, workshops, master classes , singing lessons, coachings, vocal technique, staging, diction, etc. The cost of accommodation and food is $ 600 dollars and the roud-trip ticket has a rate of $ 1,600 dollars. All this adds up to a total of $ 4,000 dollars.

Since I am a student it’s very difficult to raise this amount of money all alone. That is why I am asking for everyone’s help in doing so. It’s very important and necessary for every young singer to have this wonderful opportunities to develop and grow as a professional opera singer. Every donation will be useful for what I will going to be very very grateful.

Mi nombre es Nasha P. Padilla y soy una joven soprano puertorriqueña de 22 años . Soy candidata a graduación de bachillerato en ejecución en canto clásico del Conservatorio de Música de Puerto Rico. Recientemente participé de la competencia “Classical Singers Vocal Competition & Convention” en Boston, Massachusetts. Dicho evento se dedica a ofrecer becas, talleres y oportunidades de estudios a  estudiantes que se destaquan en la misma. Afortunadamente este año fui reconocida con el primer lugar en la categoría “University Advance”, siendo la única puertorriqueña en conseguirlo. Además de el primer lugar, me otorgaron una beca para irme de campamento a Kramfors, Suecia en julio de este año. La beca me ayuda a cubrir algunos gastos, sin embargo todo lo demás(pasaje, estadía, transportación) lo debo costear yo.

“Kashu-do (The Way Of The Singer) Intensive Summer Sessions” es un programa de verano intensivo de 15 días,  del 8 al 23 de julio de 2018. La matrícula es de $1,800 por persona y esto incluye presentaciones, talleres, clases magistrales, clases de canto, coachings, técnica vocal, staging, dicción, etc. El costo de alojamiento y comida es de $600 dólares y los pasajes tienen una tarifa de  $1,600 dólares ida y vuelta. Todo esto suma un total de $4,000 dólares.

Siendo estudiante es muy difícil reunir esta cantidad de dinero. Por esta razón es que estoy solicitando la ayuda de todos. Es muy importante y necesario para todo joven cantante tener estas hermosas oportunidades que ayudan a crecer y desarrollarse como un cantante de ópera profesional. Todas las donaciones son bienvenidas por lo que estaré muy muy agradecida.
