Nala’s Freedom Litter

On July 4th this momma, Nala, came into foster with The Hound Lounge due to complications with delivery. She had her first puppy get stuck because he was coming out sideways which required her to get an emergency C-section.  Unfortunately,  we lost the puppy that was stuck and then we lost the runt of the litter. Now we are in danger of losing another puppy, Captain,  who was admitted to Midnight Sun Animal Hospital for 18 hours last Sunday due to declining health and now Captain has been readmitted to Midnight Sun this morning after repeatedly refusing to eat and becoming lethargic. Currently, Beth has paid over $6,000 in medical fees to help this litter and is still continuing to try to save Captain. The vet clinic is strongly advising we do a blood transfusion as he is hypothermic and has low blood glucose. Anything helps, we just don’t want this young momma to lose another puppy.
