Naima Food Revolution + Renovation 5 Day Challenge

Even as a small school, we at JPS have proven that when we come together, we can make great strides. As a result, most of the school has been largely renovated, except for the kitchen/dining areas.

Hence, we are taking this week to raise the last funds to finance the physical renovation of the kitchen and cafeteria at JPS. This not only means new kitchen equipment but an improved layout with all necessary modern tools to cook and serve healthy food. Please see the design sketch for the future look of the kitchen. 


In total, we are hoping to raise £200.000. We have already received pledges of £50.000, so we are just looking for another £150.000 to complete this. The challenge is that we only have this month of June to raise the funds, otherwise, we cannot commission the renovation this summer and will need to wait a full year as this cannot be done during the academic year.

The school fees are meant to cover the basic operational budget, which covers the ordinary running costs of the school. Any improvements and significant costs are met by donations: ie computer programming, library, gym, and new classrooms have all been through private donations. 

We are appealing to every parent or grandparent within the treasured walls of Naima JPS to consider supporting this effort and help make the magic happen quickly. 

This is NOT just food for thought but thought for food. A better kitchen naturally leads to better food as more thought is put into food preparation instead of coping with difficult conditions.
