My Students Need School Supplies!

Many of you know this is my FIRST full year as a history teacher. You also probably know that I believe that every child deserves to have access to equal opportunity and education. Lastly, I'm positive you know that education in this country is not a level playing ground.

At the start of the year, teachers received a $200 gift card for supplies. I have 149 students enrolled in my classes right now, so that equates to $1.34 per student. AHHHH! Not to mention that, since it's my first year, I had to buy everything I needed in my room, like a pencil sharpener, paper, and other office supplies. Needless to say, I'm in the hole and I still don't have everything I need. But you can help!

I've set a modest goal of $500 to see me through the rest of the year. Even if I don't hit it, every little bit helps! Here is how this money will be spent: Poster paper for projects, notebooks for students who don't have one, tape, markers, other offices supplies, and perhaps most importantly, my FIELD TRIP FUND.
