I am sure you have heard of Colin and Nancy Campbell. Nancy is the editress and publisher of the free magazine Above Rubies, which encourages, strengthens, and blesses families all over the world. For the last 40 years Colin and Nancy have poured their lives into encouraging families. They do it free of charge. They do it out of their hearts of love. They pour out their lives daily for this cause.
14 years ago Colin and Nancy Campbell purchased a 30x88 foot Large double wide, modular, stick frame home to have as a rental property. The rent from this home has helped to provide income to keep them and others fed and warm.
On November 30, 2017 this rental property was burned to the ground. Praise the Lord no one was home at the time and the renters had a new place to move into. But the loss remains and a major source of their income is gone.
They did not have home owner's insurance on this home but the renters had a small renter's insurance policy. The amount that they would end up with will go to replace lost household items and will not be sufficient to rebuild the home.
Hundreds have been to their home many times. Everyone is treated like royalty and they have a gift of loving humanity, from every stage and walk of life. Colin and Nancy live their lives in full trust of God’s hand of provision to provide for many. They have never asked for money. They give to so many.
The food stretches to feed the multitudes of people that come through their doors. Any moment you arrive you will see them hosting families from near and far and housing those without home. You see Christ's love at work within the walls of their home.
Now is a time for us to give back.
This goal amount of $150k is the needed amount to replace exactly what was there. It is not extravagent in any way, but the cost of the materials it would take to rebuild the same sized, bare bones floor plan. We wanted to bless Colin and Nancy with the amount it would take to recreate their same structure that was lost. Nothing more. Nothing less. They did not ask for anything. It is not a matter of them trying to get anything from anyone, just a large financial loss and a real need. These are just the facts of what is needed.
Let's be the Lord's hands and join together to give them a beautiful home to replace this pile of ashes. To God be all the Glory!
