One last Birthday Gift for Star
As friends of Starlet Buis...we are asking for your help.
In 2013 Star, a lively, active, healthy, young mother of 3 boys, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer.
She is now at the end of her battle, having only days to live, and today Feb. 26th 2015 being her 41st Birthday.
I know we would all love to be taking her out for drinks today or bring her little tokens of love wrapped in fun paper....but this year she needs a different kind of gift. It's not your typical gift but it is a gift that will be appreciated and last forever.
There is no life insurance or money that has been put back for end of life cost.....so today I come to you and ask you to give Star one last Birthday Gift. Please give her the peace of knowing her funeral cost have been paid for and not a burden to Jesse or her boys.
I would like to invite everyone to share in Stars celebration of life this coming Saturday March 28th @ 6pm at McKinley Hill Church of Christ in Brazil, IN. Just east of Great Dane on the North side on US 40.
We will be having a CELEBRATION OF LIFE in Star's honor on the evening of March 28th.....please bring a covered dish and be ready to share your favorite stories of Star.
Leave it to Star to be thinking of others even in her last few minutes.....She never wanted to bother anyone, never wanted anyone to worry or cause a fuss. She is by far the most independent woman I have ever know.
My Husband and I sat with her this evening, after her boys had left, holding her hand, praying and rubbing her head. But it wasn't until after I had laid down beside her and had fallen asleep and Eric finally gave in a couple hours later and laid down on the floor next to us. That she decided it was ok to be with the Lord.
I woke up shortly after 2:30 to a dream filled with her laughter...if you ever got the chance to hear Star laugh you know the laugh I am talking about LOL She is in a better place now...where that laugh can carry on.
Please continue to pray she is comfortable and passes in peace....please also keep her boys in your prayers.
We are giving our donation to Jesse when we come up, I know my husband and you have had your ups and downs in the past, but he does love you very much Star, and I wish I would have been able to get to know you. Miah and I have been married for 5 years and I have heard some wonderful and hilarious stories of the past... but the one thing I have always been told is how you are an amazing mother and a strong woman!! My love and prayers are with you Star.
