Love for Lori "Never Give Up"

Donation protected

My friend, Lori Hoffman, is the sweetest person I know. She is beautiful inside and out!! She has been with her husband, Nick, for ten years, married for five of those years. Together they have a sweet little boy, Zach, who will be 3 years old this Aug. Because Nick and Lori are such great people who are always upbeat, generous and give off such a positive vibe to those around them, to look at this family you wouldn't know they have been dealing with a tragic story within their family...

On March 17, Lori will be just 33 years old. She was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer in Sept 2013. She fought hard and endured chemo treatments and multiple surgeries. In Oct 2014 the cancer had returned to her lymph nodes. Again, she fought hard with radiation every day for 6 weeks and more surgeries. She endured 2 radiation treatments on New Years Eve of 2014, so that she could put the cancer behind her and start 2015 fresh. Unfortunately, on Jan 23, 2015, she recieved a devastating phone call from her doctor that her cancer was back and now was Stage IV mets to her bones and lungs.  Lori's only choice now is a different chemo treatment that she gets once a week, which is not a cure, but only to help prolong her life.

Lori had a wonderful professional career that she had to step down from and is now at home. Unfortunately, due to the medical bills adding up,  She may be forced to go  back to work. Since her recent diagnosis, Nick has taken time off of work to spend time with Lori and Zach.

The Hoffman family is loved dearly by so many and the recent diagnosis for Lori is to say the least heartwrenching. I can't imagine what she is going through, but I do know that Lori is one of the bravest people I know.  When I am able to spend time with her she is always smiling and laughing. She always seems to be in good spirits and has a positive attitude toward life and her diagnosis.  She doesn't take one moment she has for granted.

While I don't know their financial situation, I do know that insurance only pays for so much, that her surgeries and treatments have to be costly, and she is in jeopardy of loosing her life ins policy come Aug. Having said that, I am starting this fundraiser to humbly ask for any donations, words of encouragement, prayers and well wishes for this family.  My hope is that Lori and her family do not have to worry about finances and can focus on just making love lasting memories together as a family.

Thank you in advance for sharing your love for Lori.
