Treatment and expenses

Back in December of 2017, I started having major health problems. In February of 2018, I was diagnosed with stage IVA Hodgkin's Lymphoma. I was started on chemotherapy shortly thereafter and now, as of July 2018, I am almost done with this part of my treatment. As far as anyone can tell, it's been pretty successful, but the side effects and some other lingering issues of the disease (namely issues affecting my lungs and my immune system) preclude me from going back to work until all my treatment is done. This will include at least two surgeries and possibly radiation therapy in the months to come.

To make a long story short, we've gotten by with help from family so far but have recently hit a wall with expenses related to my treatment as well as the everyday bills. We have been able to keep some things current but as I'm sure you can imagine, not everything.

At this point, I honestly do not know how much money I specifically need, but the recommended amount was $1000, so I will leave it at that for the moment. The money will be used to cover outstanding household expenses as well as the PET/CT scan I'll need in the next few weeks to determine the exact status of the cancer post-chemotherapy. I will need this money sooner rather than later, most likely within the next week or two to prevent a lapse in my insurance coverage.
