My Mom's Medical Fund

Hello everyone,
My name is Emily Latham. I am raising money for my mom, Gail Latham, who was recently diagnosed with Stage 3 Esophageal Cancer in December. This means a malignant tumor formed in her esophagus. According to her doctors, she will have to complete 6 1/2 - 7 weeks of chemotherapy and radiation and then determine if she needs surgery or not. She has started chemo and radiation but her treatments will get tougher as she goes through them.
Due to company changes, my mom was laid off from the Dayton Daily News back in June of 2016, so I wanted to do something that could help ease my mom’s mind in a loving way. (She never asks for anything from anyone, so I know she would be quite shocked that this was made). Any help through this fund would definitely assist with her medical bills as she goes through chemo and radiation, and continues looking for a new job, and I can't say enough as to how appreciative we would be. (And I definitely feel uncomfortable asking anyone for even a dollar. I just wanted to do something that took a stand in honor of my mom to help assist her and my
family).

She has loved and cared for me like no one else has and has given me endless support throughout my life. She is especially kind to everyone around her and has a wonderful support system of friends and family, but we’ve always struggled financially. We understand that it’s better to ask more people for a little than a few people for a lot which is why I think this GoFundMe page will help us tremendously. I also think it will definitely show how she is loved and cared for by so many people.
Above all, thank you everyone for your prayers and loving support. My mom is extremely strong, but prayers are worth more than anything.
