Message from Tim:

"I am Tim Lawhorn, Lisa's husband. Everyone knows that Lisa has been battling stage 4 bladder cancer for the last 2 1/2 years and it doesn't look good. Since the beginning I have been by her side, especially when she was admitted to Georgetown University Hospital.  [in April]

That was supposed to only be a second opinion which turned out to be a nightmare. I have been in the hospital with her since 4/4/18 and haven't left her side. I haven't been to work since. It's been really tough trying to manage the house and making sure TJ and Taylor are being taken care of. Now I have the hardest decision of my life, admitting her into a hospice house. I just wanted to keep everyone updated."

This GoFundMe is being created to help the Lawhorn family as much as possible.  Lisa was moved the Casey’s House in Rockville (last week) - it is closer to home then the hospital for the family- Tim is with Lisa as he has been from day 1- they are accepting visitors for short periods of time as Lisa tires easy.  Please contact Tim or Jennifer Fairfield prior to visiting. 

Again, Tim has not left her side. He has not been home to shower, to eat, to take care of their children or dogs. He has not been to work. TJ and Taylor have been doing so much too. In addition to the emotional roller coaster they have all been on, the financial aspect is a huge burden. Anything you can do to help will be greatly appreciated during the most difficult days of their life. 

We are so grateful for everyone who has helped us along this journey, we honestly could not have made it this far without your unwavering support.
