My Parents are America

My father came to America at age 16. My mother came when she was just 2 years old. They met at a small Catholic Church in Fontana, California and fell in love. All they wanted was a family, and so they raised 3 girls. My father worked tirelessly under the sun and continues to -- while my mom stayed at home with us and taught us our best lesson yet, to love...love a lot. My parents are America. This is all they know. They are the dream. They never had the chance to get their citizenship. They have been legal residents. We didn't have much growing up, but we had enough. We had each other. It never dawned on us that one day, we may have to fight for them to stay here...that someone could strip them of their liberties. Trump just announced a regulation that would limit the amount of Legal Migrants here in America.

Especially those who struggle financially and need government assistance from time to time. Meaning, my parents Green Card application could get denied once they have to reapply, because they are below the poverty-line.

My mom's green card status expires in 2021. My dad's expires in 2022. 

It is imperative that they become citizens before it is too late. I understand this is no one else's burden but my family's, so any help at all means more than you know.
