A message from a loving sister in Law, Brooke.
Imagine meeting the man of your dreams! Someone who only sees you, looks at you the way you’ve always dreamed, talks to you, listens to you, works with you on every hurdle life has to throw at you, someone who wakes you up with a coffee in bed and a kiss every morning, cooks you breakfast, lunch and dinner, runs you a bath when you need it and sometimes even makes the healthy pancake batter the night before so your breakfast is organized for the morning, someone who brings out your best self and accepts you completely!
Well, my baby sister has found this man, this rare unicorn we all look for in this unfair world. She has spent about 8 years with him, traveling the world together, supported each other on their massive weight loss journey and changing their lifestyle to an organic and healthy one, they both followed their passions and supported the other while setting up multiple businesses, no amount of strain, life’s pressures, stress or obstacles these two seem to run into ever shakes their bond. Instead, they pull together even tighter than before, regroup, communicate and move forward hand in hand. It’s incredible to watch. Everyone around them, anyone who knows these two, even if you’ve only ever seen their selfies you can tell how incredibly in love they are with one another and how their faces beam with happiness. They are living the fairytale we are all striving for. When they shared their news of expecting their first baby and moving into a new place together so far 2019 was looking like a perfect dream for them. They had not even been in their new place a week when Tom got the devastating diagnosis that he has Lymphoma.
Tom is 31 years young with his whole life ahead of him, a growing business which he is so passionate about and has put 110% into starting from the ground up, a loving best friend and girlfriend he still wants to marry and a beautiful little baby on the way. This moment in their lives should have been exciting, with gender reveals, baby showers, exciting scans watching their baby grow and move around and growing together as they always have on this little journey instead there will be too many hospital dates to count, lots of chemo, lots of illness, lots of tears, lots of heartache, lots of worries. Tom will be still going through his treatment when Courtney will go into labor and none of this is fair. If we can help out in any small way to take financial pressure of these two it will literally mean the world. It will mean Courtney and Tom can enjoy their newborn baby as they deserve to without worrying about how they will make rent. It will mean Tom can put all his efforts into fighting this and beating it and come out the other side stronger and better than before. It will give these two the chance to pull together as the amazing team that they are and focus on what’s important. My goal would be to raise enough money for their rent, groceries are taken care of, fuel and bills for a year. 50,000 is my goal!! Your love, support, and generosity mean more than we could ever thank you in words.
More tests and biopsies have to be done this week, and we will know more and the extent of the treatment which will start immediately.
