My name is Jessica Sprules
I have decided to set up this Go Fund me campaign to reach out in the hope that people can help me achieve my goals in Ice Hockey and help my Parents with increasing costs of my achievements and ambition.
Ice Hockey had me hooked since I began at the local learn to play when I was 11 & has provided me with some fantastic opportunities over the past couple of years.
I have been lucky enough to represent my country for the Women’s U18 Great Britain Ice Hockey Team in Tournaments held in Poland, Hungary & Spain. I was also awarded Sports women of the year in 2017 for united learning.
Ice Hockey is not just a great challenge for me, on the Ice but also off. The sport is pretty much male dominated, but I love the speed & intensity playing mixed provides. I always push to keep up with the guys & hope my strength of character allows them to see me as an equal. I am currently the only Female playing League Hockey at U18 level in our local Academy.
I recently was invited as the first Female player to be selected to play in a prestigious tournament for the Okanagan Academy (the leading Junior Academy in the UK)
& was also selected as 1 of only 3 to represent the UK at the International Ice Hockey Federations, Women’s High-Performance Camp in Finland.

I am incredibly proud of what I have achieved in Ice Hockey and I hope to be a role model for other girls, showing them what can be achieved if you really want it.
I have a really supportive family who spend a lot of time & money taking me all over the country and beyond to support me with what I love.
Unfortunately, as my level in sport rises so does the cost of facilitating my activities.
I am the first Female player in the UK to be offered a full-time placement at the Okanagan Ice Hockey Academy, a dream I have had for years.
As with all top Academies in any sport the price of this is significant and is becoming beyond the means of our family’s income.
I am hoping that by reaching out to people like yourselves I would be able to secure some financial help to lighten the burden for my parents and allow me to feel I am contributing with the costs of making my dream a reality.
With this help I am is hopeful to complete my final Junior year & fore fill my full potential with OHA aspiring to progress to play professionally in Canada / US or Europe.
