Homelessness is a problem across our nation, especially here in the Central Valley. In fact, there are over 2800 homeless men, women, and children in the Modesto area!
We here at Cleansing Hope Shower Shuttle want to make a difference. We seek to restore hope and dignity to those in need in our community by offering showers, socks, underwear, and hygiene kits. Access to regular hygiene should not be a luxury! It is a basic human right! We have provided showers to children as young as one year of age and adults as old as 90. Getting a shower is a basic need that will never go away, and we must do what we can to provide this service to those who have been forgotten. We began to address this need when we launched our first Cleansing Hope Shower Shuttle in August of 2016. To date we have provided over 4500 showers in just under a year.
We are asking for YOUR help to build Shower Shuttle # 2.

We have been blessed to help so many including Arturo and Darlene. This husband and wife had been homeless for 7 months, living in their car. Due to their homelessness, they were separated from their teenage son. They used what little they had to keep him in a rented RV where he could live safely and off the streets. This love that Darlene and Arturo had for their son caused them to put their needs second so they were forced to take “bird baths” (This is a bath taken in public restrooms using the sink to wash up as best as possible.)Through the Cleansing Hope Shower Shuttle, Arturo and Darlene were able to access showers so that they were clean and therefore, had the confidence they needed to walk into job interviews. We are happy to report that Darlene and Arturo are now off the street and are reunited with their son! They are now successfully employed due in part to the help they received from the Cleansing Hope Shower Shuttle.

While this is wonderful, it simply is not enough! Because the demand for a shower is so great, guests often have to wait as long as two hours. Try to put yourself in their shoes… you haven't showered in over a week, you've walked to one of our shower bus locations, and still must wait another 1 1/2 to 2 hours for your turn to shower. Consider the parents who have not been able to bathe themselves or their little ones… all the while waiting in extreme weather conditions just to get clean. We need YOUR help to finish Shower Shuttle # 2! With your help, both Shower Shuttles can provide twice the showers to the community and address the hygiene needs for so many. We see entire families who have come to rely on the shower shuttle; even people who may have a home but no utilities to clean and bathe themselves and their families. We have even seen young school-aged children in desperate need of showers and without the Shower Shuttle, these needs would not be met. We can't just turn a blind eye and hope this issue goes away… it will not! It is our responsibility as human beings to help our brothers and sisters with this essential need. We are asking you to please share this campaign with your friends and family. We are also asking that you would donate financially so that we may continue to meet the growing need.

Construction has begun on Shuttle # 2 and we need your help to complete it!
We provide a warm welcoming environment for those experiencing homelessness or those who cannot afford to pay for utilities, a hot shower with safety and dignity.
With your donation, together we can do our part to help the homeless and the underprivileged in Modesto, CA and surrounding areas.
Your tax-deductible donation will help us meet our goal of $50,000 which will help us to finish transforming our second shuttle bus into two additional showers, complete with a tank-less water heater, top-of-the-line showering components, disinfecting products, and socks and underwear for every guest.
