My friend Traci

In October 2017, my friend Traci suffered a head injury that has left her with permanent brain damage. She now requires 24-hour care and the left side of her body has restricted movement.

Over the past year, Traci has been looked after by some wonderful doctors, nurses, physios, occupational therapists and carers. For a short time, she received active therapy at the Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability where she came on so well. Since then, she has been in a care home environment where sadly, they are not equipped to look after people of her young age with such specific needs. 
Unfortunately, the lack of funds also prevents her from doing many 'normal' family activities, such as days out or simply visiting her home to see her two cats. 

Her husband Paul and daughter Sian, have been relentlessly fighting for her needs to be met.  Only recently, after her family put up quite a fight, has her weekly physiotherapy been reinstated. 
Traci's family is now looking into seeing a specialist counsellor and exploring different types of therapies that could help her lead a happier and more fulfilled life with her loved ones.

Any donations made will go directly to help Traci and her family enjoy some of the simple day-to-day things that they used to.
