My first LoVe, my First HERO, always my Dad.

Dad, I love you and I will be forever grateful for the love and the wonderful things that you have taught me .
My father didn't tell me how to live, he lived and let me watch him do it.  Tatay (dad)  in Filipino is a very fun, loving ,God fearing and the best dad ever. Right now he is in ICU at a local hospital here in Mckinney, Texas.
My dad had been going to dialysis for almost 3 years . It is tough dealing with it for you will never know if it is a good day or a bad day.He goes to dialysis every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday for 4 hours every session. To those loved ones who is undergoing dialysis ,they will truly know and understand what our family is going through.
Last November 15, 2018 at around 4:40 p.m. my Tatay Ernie was rushed to the Emergency room after he complained of chest pain and shortness of breath. This happened after a few minutes after he was dropped off from dialysis.
When we arrived in the ER, the Er staff did a wonderful job taking care of him. However, after all the labs and test were done, they found out that my dads Troponin was a 6 and is trending. A troponin determines the level of any heart muscle damage. A normal troponin will be around 0.40. The following day they did a heart catheterization and the cardiologist told me that 2 of his stents that was placed in February 2018 was both blocked and another artery is blocked as well. They have recommended a Bypass surgery as soon as possible.
Yesterday , he was having dialysis when all of sudden his heart stopped, his BP dropped. They coded him and was intubated. This is the worst news an only daughter can get from ICU staff.  I got dress and ready as quickly as I can. Crying hysterically like a baby in the car.
When I arrived in  ICU , dad was sedated . He has all the drips and equipments surrounding him. I acted "strong " like it wasn't a big deal when really it was breaking my heart.
This is just the beginning of our battle. He still need to do a bypass surgery if things go well as planned. My family is asking for help. Thank you for the outpouring love , prayers and support from families and friends.
I am creating this GoFundMe to help offset expenses such a medical expenses beyond insurance coverage and also home care and maybe a one time  handicapped accessible access for him.
Thank you again and I truly appreciate your support and generosity. God bless.
