My Eagle Project for the USO

Every year, the USO of metropolitan Washington and Baltimore does incredible work for our active servicemen and women.  From putting on world class performances to delivering care packages to deploying soldiers, the USO is always there for these brave men and women.  

My name is Fletcher Port, I’m 14, and I am raising money for my Eagle Project which benefits the USO.   I will be helping their work at Fort Belvoir by building shelves in their warehouses.   Once complete, we will be creating hundreds of care packages with your donations.   I am working to raise $500 for the shelves and $5,000 for the care packages which is the same level as one of their corporate sponsors.

Once we are done with this, members of my Scout Troop will join me at Baltimore’s airport to hand out these packages to soldiers as they deploy forward.  These treats and shaving kits will hopefully make their flight a little more comfortable and leave them with a little memory of home while they are away.

Please join me in helping complete this incredible task.  Our soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines deserve the best we can give them.  Every penny will go into this project.  $2,500 is my minimum goal but I am aiming for over $5,000.
