Gwen's brain tumor surgery

Hi, my name is Chris Simons. I am an Iraq war veteran, and I am going to school using the G.I. bill as a full time student. My wife, Laura, works as an LPN. Together we have two beautiful children. My son, Colt, is five years old and full mischief. My daughter is two. Her name is Guinevere, like King Arthurs wife in the old stories. She is the sweetest thing in the world, full of happiness and love.

Recently we discovered that she has a 1.5inch (4cm) tumor located in her cerebellum, which is causing her to have ataxia tremors. The ventricles of her brain are extremely enlarged and filled with fluid.  It requires immediate surgery. The doctors need to place a drain in her head and remove the fluid from her ventricles when they attempt to remove the tumor from her cerebellum. Because of this my wife and I will be spending all of our time in the hospital with her. I will not be returning to my classes, and my wife will be unable to work for the next month or two during the treatment and recovery process.

I am trying to raise a little money to cover our bills and alleviate medical expenses. Also, my wife has family in California that would like to come out and support us during this crisis but I need to find a way to help cover a little of their travel costs. I don't need much money, only enough to help those who care about her to come visit, and cover our bills while we spend time with our daughter.

We do not need anything immediately, but the sooner I can pay these bills the better. One less thing to worry about would be very nice. I can't even begin to tell you how much your donation would mean to me. Without your donations I wouldn’t be able to stay here and focus on my daughter.
