my cat got hurt bad and went to the vet

My cat is named Kittens. She has slept with me every night for 3 years. She waits at the door for me after school, eats her breakfast under my chair in the mornings, and is the best friend anyone could ever have.

I live in a small town and never thought this would happen to an animal I knew, but someone hurt her on purpose. I don't know why anyone would ever want to do that!
 
She ran to me from the window and had to run on her shoulder for a leg. I have never been so scared. There was a mess on the floor everywhere she tried to go for help. My Mom and I just cried and cried and tried to make the pain less as we took her to the Vetrenarian Hospital. 

She has been there since yesterday morning. Today they are saying they have to take her real bad leg off the rest of the way and possibly put metal in her other bad leg. She broken one leg in 5 places trying to get away from who was hurting her like that.

It was a miracle that she made it home to us with all the blood that she had lost and they said that she was in shock. 

They have to have $2500 (now $870) to fix her and stop the pain, or they have to put her to sleep. That  means they will kill her to stop the pain. It's not fair! And if anyone knew how funny she was they would never think it wa okay to put her to sleep for any reason. Money is so important to everyone, but it's not as important as a kind and smart animal that loves and trusts you to be there person to keep them warm and safe. 

She hunts to tell us that she loves us and is thankful for her home. She even puts her animals in the toliet all by herself because she knows it really freaks my Mom out to see her animal rewards on the floor. She is so smart and thoughtful.

Please help me save my cat! I can work and do chores if you live by me.

I don't know what else to do but to ask the world to please act GOOD like you always want to be! If you can help save Kittens, please help me do that. I know there are hunreds of people that need and ask for help, and Kittens is not a human, but sometimes not being a human means you need help even more. I help others a lot, and I promise to never stop doing that! I like doing it and i know that others out there like to help too.

I am asking for a lot. It can't be impossible though! I hope my Go Fund Me page and picture did not make you sad. I hope it will make a difference though. I know if everyone can even just give a dollar then maybe in the next 2 days 2500 people will see this, and all the money to save her will be ready.

Hello, wanted to make sure that this update was included. I am the Mother of this compassionate and determined child... Blessed indeed! :) Sadly, I am here to make the update that he may not be able to make yet. This morning we all have heavy hearts, we had to let them put Kittens too sleep. With final testing done, it came to light that the leg that we all thought was "lightly" wounded, was actually far worse than the leg with the visible flesh damages and showing tendons. The options swung wildly from hopeful too unrealistic in a flash. It would of been a full double front amputation, or an approx $1100 additional for each leg to be surgically fitted with metal plates for stabilization, with a 7-9 month down time for her. Neither option seemed humane, and each day under sedation, she looked more and more worn down and ready for real peace. 
We are trying to find solace in the medical facts, and reassure each other that we made each choice on this journey with love, respect, and for the best quality of life that we could possible give Kittens. We've had many pets over the years, but Kittens truly fell into a new and rooted place in our family, one that no other beloved animal had never ascended too with us before! 

The staff at the Animal Ark Hospital here in Philomath has been wonderful! Our updated and final bill has been posted, and while we can't save her life, Jaces father and I would like to extend our hope that people may still rally with Jace, share his story, and help us close this chapter in his life. Once the bill is covered, they will have a plaque of his Kittens paw print made and we will be able to pick it up. Jaces birthday is on 08-08. Our hope is to find the little additional help that we need to get his best friends paw print home, reinforced, and present it as a gift, along with a gift certificate covering a new kitten adoption fee when he is ready, and a "birthday basket" made out of a kitty bed, with new toys, food, liter, vitamins, ect... 

If you have previously donated, I understand that the situation has changed... His father and I are more than willing to work to return your donation if you feel that is what is fair. Your donation shall do more than it already has in helping him be productive, pro-active, and the leader in opening doors to ensure that his best friend was given the ultimate opportunity to possibly recover and be treated with the dignity that her little soul deserved.

For those that have heart strings pulled by him and want to help, but are leery - You can call and make a donation towards our goal of covering the Vet bill and so on, directly to the staff.
