My Butterfly

On January 17th 2018, my son Jihad Merrick was was shot and killed by police. My son was out of town, travelling through Iowa on his way to Nebraska. When police pulled him over for a minor traffic violation and after 40 mins of talking with him. Someone recorded the event from their phone and put it on the local news Facebook page, but it was taken down almost immediately. I requested to have his body sent back to Minnesota and the Medical Examiner said his body couldnt be released because his body was under investigation. Due to the circumstance, we need help with funeral costs. Jihad, my son has made a big impact on so many people and their lives.
