Steven “Closey” Cancer Battle

In June 2015, Steven began to suffer from stomach pains and cramps, sickness and tiredness. He knew something was wrong because of how much pain he was in, he just didn’t know what it was, unfortunately doctors passed this off as stress and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)

Steven carried this pain and Mis-diagnosis with him for roughly 14 months with little to no relief/treatment until the 10th August 2016 when the first tumour was found in his bowels.

a few weeks later on the 31st August 2016 Steven had his first operation to remove the tumour and began his first course of Chemotherapy for Stage 3 bowel cancer (Lymph nodes 15/34 T2 N2) 

Originally this course of chemotherapy was successful as he went into remission for just over a year until he started noticing drastic changes to his weight and began feeling tired again.

A CT scan in early 2018 revealed the cancer had returned and spread with 8 tumour spots found on his liver, a return of tumours in his stomach lining and growth of tumours in his pelvic glands.

Doctors then told Steven news that devastated his entire family, he was told his cancer was terminal and was given 6 months to live untreated or a possible 12 months with additional chemotherapy treatment.

As of June 2018 Steven has undergone Anterior Resection Surgery and re-started Chemotherapy, but this course of Chemo is making Steven very ill leading to us finding alternative treatments in China, USA and Europe.

The figure of £50,000 will fully go toward Immunotherapy treatment in Germany.

€5,969 per week over 6 weeks for in-clinic treatment and €20,000 for Dentritic Cell Therapy.

The final diagnosis for Steven is Metastatic Colon Cancer to Liver and Stomach.

We hope this life-saving treatment is the best possible route for Steven to take and hopefully can give his Fiancée, 5 year old son and 9 year old daughter an extra bit of hope.

If the worst case happens any money raised will be passed on to other Cancer sufferers.
