My Biomedical Adventure - UMN Innovation workshop
Donation protected
Being an international student doing her masters and almost about to graduate. I am excited to make the best of the opportunities around me!
I love healthcare and I'm very passionate about medical devices. Be it imaging a new vessel (angiogenesis alert :-p) or 3D printing a fully functional organ. I want to be a frontier in emerging technologies in healthcare.
In light of my aspirations, the Design of Medical Devices conference held in Minnesota is a legendary one (http://www.dmd.umn.edu) . It's going 18 years strong and I am not about to miss it! I want to participate in the innovation workshop hosted on the 15th of April 2019. This workshop takes me back to 2015 where I did an entrepreneurship program at InnAccel(http://innaccel.com/) and had been to 2 workshops, a summit, a conference, a clinical immersion, produced a project, published a paper and went to a 48hr a hackathon all in 6 months. This was possible because of following the biodesign methodology. I have been waiting for such opportunities to go through such processes again and this workshop is the perfect 1-day experience of exactly that!
The registration for the workshop alone is $300. As a student, taking care of the transportation (~ $250 ), accommodation(~$100), registration(~40), other expenses(~$60) is definitely a huge investment. I can't afford to pay the $300 for the workshop as well. So, here's a shout out to all innovators, passionate engineers, creative thinkers out there to help me raise this money.
I dream of writing a cool blog and if I do get a chance to raise this $300, I promise I'll start a wonderful blog talking about the most creative projects in biomedical engineering space. I cannot express how happy this would make me and thank everyone in advance for investing in me.
