Hi all,
My name is Michal and I'am 22, currently studying Bsc Agriculture at Moulton College.
Ive been riding motorcycles for long time now but mostly road machines with a odd track day with friends. I've had the love for motorcycles since very young days and since I bought my first road bike back in 2013 I have always been interested in riding/racing on track. Back in 2017 I have finally acomplished one of my dreams which was to stand on the start grid in a proper race at my local racing club East Midlands Racing Association. Because it is very expensive to race a motorcycle on a given weekend with only seasonal job in full time education and only a odd day here and there to save as much money as I could during winter months so I could compete during summer.
I've managed 3 rounds in 2017 securing 4th place finish in the last Rookie race as well as acheiveing my best ever lap time round this short circuit which is Mallory Park located in Leicestershire. I have worked hard during 2017 and going in to 2018 I knew it will be hard to secure a work placement while studying full time, completing my top-up year of BSc course.
But in late 2017 a complete disaster struck, my car that I use daily to commute to Uni and work placement broke down. A total cost of over £1300 was needed to fix it. Which I've managed myself but that was only how much the parts were. The complete "mechatronic unit rebuild" was £800 on it own with a "dual clutch" £350 + tools because it would've been over £2500 if fixed by authorised garage. So all my money that I saved for the beggining of 2018 have gone through the roof.
I have set up this campaign, so I could kindly ask
you for any size donations that would help me to kick off 2018, especially round 1 which is only few weeks away held on 11th March. I'am sure that with your help 2018 will be a interesting year full of adventures and achieved goals.
I'am very determined with a will to fight for the best results with what I've got available.
