My 12-year companion has cancer

After 12 years of companionship, my beautiful boy has been diagnosed with cancer. The good news is that the tumor has not spread and he has a chance at many more years with us, but the excision will cost well over $10K, and with my government job evaporating, we could use a little help to cover the costs. 

Ububukah has been with me through the darkness and we've emerged on the other side as best friends. He's saved my life so many times, I have to save his, and now that everything is wonderful in our lives, I want to have more time with him. 

Anything you can give would help our little family immensely, and thank you for taking the time to read about him. We wouldn't be taking the surgical route had the doctors not assured me that it's the best way to go, and that we've caught it in time to assure many more years of lovey snuggles.
