This winter has been hard on many parts of the country. The past week we have seen severe cold and unprecidented ice/snow storms here in TN. Over night we received another 1/2" of freezing rain on top of what had already accumulated. Some time in the early morning hours, tragedy struck our farm when the run-in shed for our mini horses and goats collapsed. 1,000 pounds of ice fell in, trapping and crushing one of our mini horses. His name was Benny and he was not quite 3 years old. We are heartbroken and in total shock at the loss of this sweet and gentle, blue-eyed boy. The photo is Benny's beautiful, brilliantly blue eye.
While we try to deal with the emotional loss, we must also care for our other animals. Friends and family who know us can attest to the time, energy and personal funds we have dedicated to horse rescue. Over the past three years we have taken in 7 horses from rescue situations, kill buyer lots or that were on their way to auction. We are committed to providing them with love, good care and a forever home.
At this time we desperately need reliable temporary shelter in the form of a port-a-barn until we are able to rebuild. The extreme cold and long winter has meant buying more hay and feed which has exhausted our reserves. We are humbly asking for help to rebuild.

I am so glad people came together & were able to help you in your time of need! It really restores your faith in humanity doesn't it.... The one time I needed help, I was also overwhelmed with the generousity of people I didn't know personally & try to help out every great cause like this when & where I can in pure gratitude.
We are in shock and truly speechless.... Rich, Terri & the entire GoFundMe Team we simply don't know how to express the gratitude and relief we are feeling right now. The words "thank you" just don't seem adequate.
