Hello Attached to this go fund me account is a few photos and a video I took a few days ago for Laura see Laura is my friend we are also roommates I moved up here to New York 4 years ago to help her and Do everything I could to make life easier for her along her way see shes 80% Blind she cant see very well To make a long story short ill move on Laura lost her husband a few years back he lost his legs when he stoped to help a biker on the side of the road a Bike hit him and he lost a leg later on to loose both legs then passed away a few years later .. That’s about the time I met her and made a deal with her to help her as much as I could so I started working on her house it was in bad shape but ive painted every room inside worked on the plumbing rebuilt the boiler fixed electrical problems fixed floors ,walls ect. ect ..
Last week we had a bad storm it rained for 3 days strait and I mean it rained anyway a few spots in the house started to get wet so I told Laura we had a problem then it happened parts of her ceiling fell in spots so the next day I took a ladder and climbed the house to the roof and to my surprise it was bad not only was it bad it was gone .
Laura and I both are on fixed income her social security me disability we barely make enough to pay our bills , some months we slide on one to pay the other just to catch up
Her rent man is a great guy .But hes told us he wont put anymore money into this old house he will tear it down first its barely paying him the taxes owed on it every year so I Understand this to .. Hes also let us slide a few months when we couldn’t pay the rent because we had large oil bills and electric bills due to long winters and cold months I think half our heat went out the roof and we are just now getting that bill back to normal again after half the summer is gone see we really are trying hard to make ends meet we don’t do drugs and we don’t drink were just trying to survive ….
This brings us to why we are here and I thank you for taking the time to read this thus far im by no means a writer Im just an old poor country boy trying to survive we need help if you can help us I think I can reroof this house for about 2000 dollars that’s me doing the work ive done many roofs in my days this one is not a problem the only problem is im much older and my health isnt what it use to be but I can do this if I had the material
As you can see in the photos and the video we need this done asap winter will be here soon and we don’t have anywhere else to go from here you and our friends are our only hope we have so if you can ill leave the go fund me info if you can spare a few dollars it will go along way for us and our pug family we love so much again we thank you for taking the time to read this and I apologize for the writings Im not very good with words …again we thank you all for everything
