Juan Alvarez

Our dear friend and colleague, Juan Alvarez is currently in the Neuro ICU at Swedish Medical Center.  After having a bad headache and then unable to  move his arm Juan found himself in the ER.  While in the ER they discovered two masses near the base of his brain and a spot on his liver.  At this time he has undergone a CT Scan, MRI, Pet Scan, spinal tap and a biopsy to try and determine what is wrong.  Although he does not have a definitive diagnosis as yet, he has already spent a week in the Neuro ICU and undoubtedly will be there a while.  As we do not yet know what he has to face and all the while the medical bills piling up and not knowing how long before he is able to return to work we are asking for some help for him.  The hospital is already asking him for his $500 copay. 
He is a cook at Kent Denver School and feeds our students, supports them in their sports games, attends their performances, is an avid supporter of Breakthrough Kent Denver and is there for our students in so many ways.  I'm hoping by reaching out to all of you that you will return his good will back to him and help him now by donating what you can and be there for him now.
