Help Preserve PublicTransit History
My name is Joseph Chemerys, and I am the administrator of the website ROLLSIGN GALLERY.
Rollsign Gallery is an online museum designed to show the history of public transit systems from all over North America and beyond, through the transit system's destination signs. These are the scroll type or electronic signs above the windshield or on the side of buses that say what route they're on.
Rollsign Gallery is also a physical collection of the actual destination signs shown on the website. The items featured have been collected over the past 20 plus years. The mission of the website is to present these signs and their history to the public, so that others may enjoy them and learn from their history.
Rollsign Gallery is a website that is enjoyed not just from people in North America, but from overseas as well, such as England, France and Australia.
Up until now, the entire entity that is Rollsign Gallery has been maintained out of pocket. I am the sole source for all research, acquisitions and expenses. This is not a business and I have no employees.
This campaign is to raise money to help cover the costs of:
- Obtaining new signs and historical material for the online museum.
- Purchases or travel expenses to acquire them.
- Restoration or refurbishemnt materials.
- Maintaining the website and the quality of information.
- Eventually preserving a historic transit bus to display the associated items.
- Other associated costs.
If you have visited the site before, Thank you! If you are new to the site, Welcome! Feel free to explore all it has to offer! Please show your support of the quality work by helping with this campaign. Any contribution, no matter how large or small, is greatly appreciated... not just by myself, but by all the fans and supporters of the online museum.
