MustachesForBrettWilson-ParmaFirefightersLocal#639
During the month of November, men from all over participate in “No Shave November” and despite backlash from our friends and family, we grow our mustaches to raise money for charity. This year will be no different for the Parma Firefighters Local #639; we will be growing our mustaches in honor of a fallen brother.
In the early morning of October 27, 2019 Columbia Township Firefighter Brett Wilson responded from his apartment to help victims of a motor vehicle accident, after hearing the collision occur. During his heroic efforts he was electrocuted by a downed power line and tragically died in the line of duty.
Brett had a mustache that could rival any, and those that knew him can tell you, he was damn proud of it! He wore it as a badge of honor. His family has decided to start a scholarship fund in his name, with the intent to train new local firefighters by sending them through the Fire Academy. In honor of Brett and his legendary mustache, during the month of November, members of the Parma Firefighters Local #639 will put down their razors and grow mustaches to raise money for his scholarship fund. The average cost of attending the Academy is around $3,000, and it is our goal to raise enough money to send one firefighter through the training academy. Please help us honor our fallen brother Brett Wilson by donating to our cause.
Thank you!
