Murray County Fair

The Murray County Fair in Slayton is one of the best small free fairs in Southwest Minnesota. We do not charge gate admission and have free parking and try to keep the entertainment free or low cost so the week can be a low cost event for families.
Over the past few years we had access to extra grant money to help bring in new entertainment. The grant money program has changed and is not available for general entertainment and so we are looking for new ways to raise money! We need you.
The entertainment and activities at the fair is expensive and we are looking for support to help us continue to bring in the events that will continue to help us grow.
An observation from the 1929 Murray County fair could just as easily be said today: "It is a fair in which we all take wholesome pride. It is not built upon the weak foundation of cheap sport and frivolity, but on the contrary, on the strong and resistant foundation of those things in which the people of this community are most interested in - the children, agriculture, education and in general for things that make for bigger and better communities in which to live."
Any monetary amount is helpful as we continue this tradition that started over 100 years ago.
