MURAL! Lush Valley Community Garden

A new mural is set to be installed adjacent to the main entrance of the Lush Valley Share the Harvest Community Garden in downtown Courtenay. The artist Josh Klassen lives in the neighborhood and is excited to give back to the people who frequent the garden.
The money raised will go towards a high quality aluminum composite material to paint on which will be mounted to the fence that surrounds the garden. Funds will also be spent on paint and compensation for time spent painting the mural on both sides of the mounted substrate to be viewed from inside the garden as well as from the street.
Josh Klassen plans to use a simple primary and secondary palette to create a bright collage-like grouping of images representing things found in the garden.
We hope to have the funds raised by the end of September so painting can commence in the fall.
