Multihogar Niño Jesus

It is that time of the year! Help me raise money for the Multihogar Niño Jesus in Caracas, Venezuela; a preschool in created by Padre Luis Ugalde in La Vega one of Caraca's Shantytowns. The Multihogar cares for 40 children ages 6 months to 4 years old, providing them with breakfast, lunch, and snack during the school day. The children also receive medical care, and their parents recieve guidance during the school year.
This fundraiser is an extension of one that I organized in May 2016. The funds collected last year ($1,375 through GoFundMe and $700 from direct donations) have had a significant impact on La Vega's community. For this reason, it is my wish to keep providing this monetary assistance to the Multihogar. THIS YEAR, the goal is to collect enough funds to help pay for the children's food, the teacher's payroll and provide half scholarships to at least ten children for the entire school year 2017-18.
To put things into perspective, because of Venezuelan inflation, (March 27th; 3,063bs = 1USD)
- Sponsoring 1 child for a month = $10
- The costs of the entire school's goods and services in one year = $2,300
Since they have no major donors, every dollar makes a difference; make it $1 or $100, the children of the Multihogar will enjoy a better school and be thankful for your donation. Not only will you help children in La Vega stay in school and be motivated, but you will be investing in Venezuela's future!! Thank you for your contribution!
