Mujerave Empowers Guatemalan Women

Tax deductible

Are you aware of the crisis in Guatemala?

A severe drought that began in 2014 has pushed Guatemalan families like Irma Yolanda's (pictured above) to the brink of starvation. Before the drought, families like Irma Yolanda's were already some of the poorest and the most malnourished in the Western Hemisphere.

 How is Mujerave helping?

Mujerave, an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) organization is currently raising funds to empower women's groups to:

Build 10 greenhouses: Crops grown inside the greenhouses will reduce hunger and malnutrition rates, and create sustainable income streams for families affected by the multi-year drought.

The power of your donation:
 - $100  purchases fabric for one greenhouse
 - $50 purchases 200 tomato seedlings for one greenhouse

Build 60 efficient cook stoves: many women in rural Guatemala cook over open fires. Our stoves reduce firewood consumption by 50%, saving money that can be used to purchase food.

The power of your donation:
 - $80 purchases the materials for one stove
 - $10 purchases the cement for one stove

How can you help Irma Yolanda and others like her?

By making a tax-deductible donation to Mujerave between now and July 5th, 2016, you can get us one step closer to empowering women in Irma Yolanda’s community.
