Mudflat Artist-in-Residence Fund

Tax deductible
Want to join us in making a difference in the lives of emerging artists? It's Year of the Artist-in-Residence at Mudflat! During 2019, we are raising money to benefit Mudflat's Artist-in Residence Fund, and any donation, big or small, will help make an impact.

Each year, Mudflat selects an Artist-in-Residence (AIR) to come work at Mudflat.  Mudflat offers each AIR a free studio space, a monthly materials stipend, 24 hr access to the studio, and a solo show and reception at the end of their residency.  They are immersed in our community, creating a BIG impact at the studio.  Currently, it costs Mudflat about $5,600/year to fund our AIR program.  We are looking for your help to raise money to fund this program for the next 5 years, with also being able to increase the materials stipend the AIR receives, and provide a housing stipend to help with the rising cost of living in Somerville.

AIR programs are important because they  give artists time and space to work, allowing them to further develop their artistic practices. Our AIR program is important for this very reason! It supports Mudflat's mission to promote and expand appreciation and participation in the ceramic arts by supporting our AIRs.

Having an AIR each year impacts the Mudflat Community as well! Bringing in an artist-in-residence means our students get to grow artistically by learning new techniques and practices from each artist that comes to Mudflat. Every year, the AIR program enriches our clay community while helping to directly support emerging clay artists.

We are looking to raise $5,000 in the next few months towards our year-end total goal of $40,000.  Any bit you can contribute helps make a difference! Thanks in advance for your contribution to help fund our AIR program AND help support emerging clay artists!
