Colt Strong

We want you to meet Colt and his family! This past Feb.2018, during Feb vacation Colt(5 years old) was diagnosed with Pre-Curser B-Cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma. This devastating news changed this family's life forever. Over the past 8 months Colts parents Emily and Chad along with his 2 brothers Nash and Clark have been by this little super hero's side as he has endured relentless testing, bone marrow extractions, lumbar punctures, intensive rounds of chemo (which he will continue for the next 2 years) and recently a heart wrenching 10 days in the ICU,  intubated with severe pancreatitis as a side effect of the cancer treatment. Emily and Chad have taken turns staying  with Colt and commuting to and from Boston's Children's Hospital for his weekly treatments and after care along with taking care of their 2 other children. Most of us cant even imagine what it must be like to face this and continue to live life and a "new normal".  When you look at these innocent faces you see where all their strengths comes from!  Cancer does not rest. It doesn't do a warm down at the end of a bicycle ride. Cancer doesn't sleep at the end of the day. It doesn't flee the cold for warm weather during school vacation. Cancer is relentless, showing no favorites and taking no prisoners. Wealthy or poor, educated or illiterate, old or young... But out of devastation can come inspiration! It can harvest acts, and deeds, and abilities beyond ones expectations. Along with Hope, faith, prayers,  kindness & Love, Colt and his family need our help!!  Please contribute generously and help us in our continuing efforts to help this family and Colt on this long and difficult journey! 
You can donate here and also live and in person at our Oct.20th, 2018  fundraiser for Colt! We will be holding a Halloween Costume Party in honor of Colt and all proceeds will be donated to the family for assistance on this journey. There will be prizes, games, music, dancing and finger foods! (More info to come)  Together we can make a difference! Colt, you are not Alone!!!
