I have chosen to volunteer in Tanzania, Africa in August with an organization called Limited Resource Teacher Training. With limited teaching resources and growing class sizes, more and more students in underprivileged countries are dropping out of school. Some students are taught by teachers with little or no formal training. These teachers are often asked to teach in class sizes of over 60 students! In this program, I will be mentoring teachers to help students reach their learning potential.
I am excited to make a difference in their classrooms. I am also looking forward to the personal growth that goes along with this experience!
I am asking for your support to make this possible! My first request is for prayers before, during, and after my time in Africa. My second is to attend my bean bag tournament on Saturday, May 19th. There is more information below about this event. My final request is monetary. My goal is to raise $5,000!
