This is Mrs. Flans' mom.
Let me start off by saying I am not normally someone who asks for help, and never did I think I would be looking for donations, but recent events have left me with my hands tied.
My fesisty little dew drop of love, Mrs. Flans, has been dealing with some medical issues. Just a few months ago we had a cancer scare, which ended up being a mass related to an infection in her jaw. Thankfully, after a million tests her doctors were able to address the issue and clear out the infection- all was good.
However, recently the Flans was looking a little sad. She has been coughing a lot, was lethargic and was just not acting like her usual diva self. Then she began vomiting and then she stopped eating. You all know Flans is very serious about maintaining her "hots bods," so when she stopped eating that was a definite red flag. We've been at the vet since Friday, trying to figure out what is going on. Her blood tests showed an extremely elevated white blood cell count and her liver enzymes were off the charts as well. After a few more tests and an ultrasound this morning, her vet is pretty sure she has Gallbladder Mucecele- an obstruction in the gallbladder which impairs its ability to function. This condition requires emergency surgery as the obstruction can burst at any moment and is potentially fatal. I am currently in the emergency room with Mrs.Flans- she will be going into surgery. She is being treated at ACCESS specialty Animal Hospital in Woodland Hills, CA.
This is where things get hard... I would go to the moon and back for Flans, but her last medical emergency left me $5000 in the hole, and between Friday and today, we've added an extra $1148 to that. And now she needs emergency surgery which is estimated at approximately $4500-$6000, plus the emergency fees which are at $876-1388. I've been trying to keep up, but I've literally maxed everything out and on top of that I have other dogs & foster dogs here that also require care.
I can absorb some of the costs-I'm trying to catch up and literally selling everything I can to come up with funds, but an additional $7,000+ is just financially not do-able at this time. I cannot imagine not getting Mrs. Flans the medical attention she needs, but unfortunately, I won't be able to provide her with the treatment she needs if I cannot come up with the funds.
So, I'm reaching out for help and hoping for a miracle! If you would like to help Mrs. Flans by contributing to helping her get better we would be so, so appreciative!
