Yasmin’s MRKH Medical Fund
Donation protected
Early June 2017, when I was fourteen years old, I was diagnosed with Mayer-Rokitansky-Küster-Hauser also known as MRKH. MRKH is a disorder that affects my reproductive system because I have an underdeveloped uterus. It is shaped like a broken heart, split in two. This occurred when my mom was about 13 weeks pregnant with me, when I was being developed in her stomach my uterus didn’t grow together into one whole piece and this causes me to have very painful periods. In January, I will have surgery to remove the pieces of my divided uterus, and, as a result of this condition, in the future I will not be able to carry a baby. I do have healthy ovaries and plenty of eggs, so, eventually, I can have a surrogate carry my baby for me or I can adopt. I started this GoFundMe because I would like to ask you for your help to raise money toward my medical expenses, a baby savings fund (for when I’m ready), and to start a support group for young women like me in my area that are facing fertility issues.
