Pug Gilbert needs help

Mr Gilbert is 15 years young.  A vibrant lil guy with a big spirit and 2 teeth and a tongue that hangs to the side.   A real doll with a "story".   Gilbert and his siblings were turned in by the family who had him since he was a pup.  At 12 years old they decided it was time to dispose of the pugs.   

Gilbert was adopted by me 3 years ago and is a joy and a delight.  It broke my heart to see him in agonizing pain and we had no idea what was hurting him so much.   His big pug eyes had gotten ulcers and they were infected and very big.   Attempted to give him medicines but the right eye started "melting" (vet's term) and started to fall out.  (I know the visual is tough-sorry).   He was rushed to the vet and they had to do emergency surgery to remove the right eye.   

He sports the pirate look like a champ but he came home last night and is resting now.   We are watching the other eye as we hope it can be saved.   His medications are very expensive and the ER surgery was 1600.   

Swallowing My Pride
I had to help him.   I need help to cover his surgery so I can pay the vet.   The bill is 1600 .  I was able to get some charity funding already and that lowered the bill to $1600.   Unfortunately my income is very low and any assistance I can get from people would be so appreciated.   

If you can help Gilbert we would really appreciate it.  If not, please send him good vibes for healing well and bless the other eye and that the medication can save it.
