This is Mr Charlie McReynolds who is in need for a hip replacement. He is 80 years old and working door dash to raise money for his copay! This is a long story but please read until the end because it is based on what happened to me today. We ordered DoorDash for all of us at work and it took a while to get there so I was calling to find out what happen as he finally showed up with our food! It was a old fragile man look like he was in his 80s had a limp as he walked. I was amazed that he was delivering our food. He asked me to help him to the exit in the hospital I told him I would walk him on the way down, he couldn’t find his car when we got down stairs, forgot where he parked and he was so tired and out of breath from walking so I called security to help him find his car in the meantime he told me that he was working door dash to make money for his hip replacement surgery co-pay. I was amazed that he is like 80 years old and trying to work to make money for a medical procedure, how sad is that this is the country we live in! He went on to tell me that he was the mayor of Forney for four years had a steel company for 30 years and published a book! I told him I would go buy it to support his efforts to get his copay. The guard got him to his car as then the guard came back to give me this, his published book signed by him!! I am posting this in hopes that others will buy his book so he can hopefully make the profit he needs to pay his copay for his surgery! He was such a humble man and didn’t want to impose on me at all but he doesn’t realize the impact he made on my life! If only people these days were the same way, the world would be a better place!
