MP Baldauf Benefit Recovery Fund
On March 19, 2015 Mary Pat Baldauf suffered a brain aneurysm. Mary Pat is a beloved daughter, sister (best friend and roommate), friend, and member of the community. She committed the last six years of her life to getting healthy and strong. Mary Pat's sister Beth and their mother Mary Kay have been devastated by these recent events. Mary Pat is currently at Palmetto Health with her sister and mother close by her side.
Our commuity loves this family and knows how strong these three women are. If you're searching for a way to help, please donate to Mary Pat's recovery fund. We're not sure what exactly this family will face in the coming days and weeks and months, but we know they will need our help. Every little bit counts. Funds will also be used to support Beth as she seeks time off from work, house expenses, etc. Basically whatever these ladies need!
As I continue my second full week back at work, I wanted to again thank you for your love, support and generosity. Every day a new medical bills comes in - and yes, six months later they're still coming in - I am thankful for this account and your support of it. Being back on a full-time basis and a regular routine has been good for me. Returning on a staggered basis was good to build my stamina, but not the most productive I've ever been. My boss, Robert, has been quite supportive, as have my co-workers. My voice is getting stronger each day, and I feel almost back to normal (whatever THAT is). There are now days that I forget that I had the aneurysm rupture. Thanks for the role you played in my recovery, too. The notes, prayers and general love pulled me through, no doubt. Love you!
Two months after my aneurysm, I'm happy to report that despite an initial bad prognosis, I'm on my way to a 100% recovery. The past six weeks, I've been at the renowned Shepherd Center for rehabilitation, where I re-learned how to walk. This week, I started outpatient rehab at Shepherd's Pathways facility, and I'm already making a lot of progress. In between the two hospitalizations and rehab, I'm just now visiting this page, and I'm horrified that I haven't been in touch with each and every one of you directly. I am so touched by Katherine even starting this account, and am moved by those of you who have contributed. I do hope to be in touch with each of you one on one, but for now, please accept my thanks for your donation. As the bills start coming in. this fund is a blessing and relief.
Mom & I are just seeing all of the love here and are amazed at your love and generosity, friends. Words are not adequate to describe how we are feeling at the outpouring of your support. Thank you so much for your love and faithfulness. We love you all. #PrayforMPB
