Elmer Parker

As often as we would life for life to be prefect, there are things in life that can’t always be controlled. Unfortunately, life has taken its course and has led us to where we are today. The day Elmer Parker got the diagnosis of cancer was devastating news to our family; but he did not give up and was determined to fight. Even after falling ill, Elmer continued to pastor at Church Hair’s Chapel Freewill, care for his wife, grandchildren and great grand children until his health prevented him from doing so. He touched so many lives through his faith. As he was no longer able to work as the provider and with the crippling costs of cancer treatment, Elmer & Peggy were forced to give up their family built home in 1993. Cancer has left Elmer & Peggy without a lot of materialistic items, but they have not lost their faith. The time has come to accept that Elmer has fought his battle with cancer and will soon be called to be with the Lord.
