Moyer Family Medical Expenses

Donation protected

The night of January 10, 2017 around 11:30pm Denna, Eli and Zac Moyer were traveling home after working on a sprint car and being at Denna's fiancé's house. They were less than a half of a mile from their home when Denna fell asleep, causing the Suburban she was driving to veer right, striking a tree.
Eli, who was sitting in the back seat, was able to crawl out of the vehicle. With a broken femur, he attempted to crawl the rest of the way home to get help. He made it approximately 30 yards before stopping to rest and eventually falling asleep. Meanwhile Denna and Zac, who was sitting in the front passenger seat, were trapped inside the Suburban. Denna talked to Zac, trying to keep him awake until they were rescued.
Finally sometime around 4am a woman drove by and found their vehicle and called for help. Eli was taken to the hospital right away by ambulance. After a couple hours Denna was cut from the vehicle and also taken to the hospital by ambulance. Zac, who suffered the most injuries, was lifeflighted to the hospital after finally being extracted from the Suburban.
Denna suffered a broken right femur, a dislocated left shoulder, and a bruised spleen. Her femur was surgically repaired with a titanium rod.
Eli also suffered a broken right femur which was surgically repaired with a titanium rod. Along with that, he suffered broken ribs, a broken eye socket and nose. He also needed staples in his head. Eli had been in an accident just 3 short months prior to this accident, in which he had been hit by a garbage truck while driving on a golf cart. He is still recovering from injuries caused from that accident as well.
Zac suffered a broken right shoulder, a broken right ankle/foot, a broken left femur, broken ribs, multiple contusions and swelling on his brain, and full body trauma. He has had his ankle temporarily fixed and pins put in his femur.
Denna and Eli were released from the hospital after 4 days. Denna is in a wheelchair for the time being as she is non-weight bearing on her femur. Her goal is to be back walking for her wedding in March. Eli is able to walk with a walker. They both will be receiving physical therapy.
Zac will remain in the hospital for the time being. They are monitoring his brain injury. He is facing  possibly a stay at a rehab facility and months if not a year or two of therapy. He will be non weight bearing on both legs for 6-8 weeks.
Along with many medical bills that the family will be responsible for, many changes need to made around their home as well to make it accessible for all 3 children. A temporary ramp has been built to get Denna and Eli in and out of the house. Renovation is needed to build Zac a room and entrance into the house.
This family is always the first to help when anyone is in need. Now they need our help. If you are called to do so, please donate. Any amount will help! Thank you for your contributions and all of your prayers!
