Mothers for Suicide Awareness

Tax deductible

My son,  David Sorrentino,  21 years old , a senior student at Villanova University took his life a few days prior his 22nd Birthday.  He had lost faith in love after a broken relationship just before final exam week .  I had been speaking to him throughout the week, we had been talking about graduation this coming May and this was completely unexpected.

David was a highly gifted, very talented and incredibly welcoming young man who had touched the lives of many.  Yet,  he did not realize  how much he was loved by his friends.
Sadly, these senseless acts are more common then recognized.

I cannot find the words to describe my sadness.   As I’m surrendering and learning to accept what is outside of my control, I want to at least keep his memory alive and give deeper meaning to his passing.  Because my family has been blessed with incredible love and support, I am asking for support to fund a cause  to prevent senseless acts from happening to another family.

My goal with this fund is to raise awareness about suicide. I'm hoping young men will learn to recognize friends at risks for suicide and have the tools to help prevent it from happening.

I believe every single parent,  high school and University has a vested interest in supporting this cause.
