Mothers Family Holiday

I am hoping to raise money to be able to take my mother on holiday in 2019. Nothing extravagant, just enough to be able to take her away to stay in a static caravan on or near the coast. My hope is to achieve enough to be able to go with her, and to take my brother along too, so the three of us as a family can have some memories together. It has been seven years since she last got away for more than a day trip out, and more than double that since we last had time away together as a family.

My mother has been through a rough five years, including being made homeless twice, dealing with the impact of an abusive partner, and a major health scare. Despite all this, she has done her very best to get herself back in a position to be independent and live. She has taken on more working hours despite her health scare, and with some help from me, we have managed to get her settled into a new home. Even with all our efforts, money remains very tight, and the thought of a holiday even for a couple of days is one that is completely beyond her budget or means at the moment. I have hoped to be able to save enough by myself to achieve this, but each time I begin working on it, the funds are needed more urgently elsewhere, for things such as car repairs so she can continue to do her job as a mobile social carer, or for replacement home appliances or health matters.

As such, I have turned to the idea of donation based funding, in the hope some kindly souls will help us get towards the goal of giving my mother a family holiday to remember. I fully appreciate, there are hundreds, thousands of more worthy causes to aid and assist. But, even just a little help will get me closer to being able to achieve my goal of giving something very special back, to someone who has given so much for others even when she has had little or nothing herself to give.

I have worked out, that in order to make the 'dream' happen, I need to save or raise close to £1,000. This would cover the cost of staying in a static caravan or holiday cottage for a week (Outside of the busy/peak weeks at least), the cost of fuel to get her out there and back, and a little left over for a couple of portions of fish and chips and maybe an ice cream if weather permits. The higher the amount I can save and raise towards this, the more special I can make it. It's a massive ask to reach that, but I'm going to give absolutely everything to reach it. I would very much like to be able to afford a second caravan, or larger cottage, so my younger brother and his partner can come too, and make it very special. To do this, I will need to reach around £950, which is why my target is set at that. Further details on the funds below.

It would mean such a lot to me personally, to be able to surprise her with such a treat. She knows I'm trying to make sure she can go on at least a day trip to the seaside next year, but I'm hoping to be able to do a little more than that. So any help anyone can give at all would be massively appreciated!

{In the interests of transparency, the donations will be put towards the following, in the order listed.
£700 - First seven hundred pounds raised will be put towards cost of accommodation for the week, either the caravans or cottage rental. (This HAS to be raised by 01/08/2019, but the sooner the better.)
£100 - Next £100 will be to cover some of the fuel costs of travelling.
£150 - The next £150 will be given to my mother as personal spending money, so she doesn't have to worry about covering the costs of doing the things she wants to do, like buying a coffee whilst out if she wants one and things like that.
Once the target is reached, any further donations that take us over target will be used as follows.
£300 - First £300 over the £950 target will be used towards looking at finding mother a new special companion following the passing of her dog, Tasha.
£400 - The next £400 of "over-donations" will be put towards new household appliances to replace old ones begged and borrowed when she moved to her new place after being homeless.
£1,650+ - Anything over the figure of the target £950 plus that £700 will then be split. 50% will go to a pot of savings to help mother with any unexpected costs in the future, with the remaining 50% donated to a charitable cause. (I have chosen the Cheetah Conservation Fund for this.)}
