i am not one to ask for help. i am usually the one who offers any type of assistance possible ,even if I make $7.50hr with very little to offer i do what ever it takes to feed my satisfaction in filling everyone's heart!
5 days ago I get a call stating my son has been hit by a vehicle. i immediately rushed to the hospital nurses and doctors from the sacred heart seem to be on mute as they are trying to explain, exactly what his injuries are .it seems as though I could only hear a high pitch ringing. i had to pull myself together. you would think something like this ONLY happens in movies, but once tragedy lurks your way , you realize anything can happen, that you have to pull every last ounce of strength as a mother out of you to be strong.
the vehicle that hit him was going on full force. the impact of it all was mainly all through right from the hip down.he is suffering from multiple fractures on the right hip itself, which he still needs to undergo surgery. the night of the assault he was rushed into the ER having to put him on a induced coma to place a metal rod on the right femur and bolts on the left. ankle. they then, put him on life support because of the severe trauma. he also suffers from internal and external bleeding . having to place him on blood transfusions. his kidneys stopped working properly placing him on dialysis. Have you heard the phrase , "when it rains it pours" ? Every drop seemed to be coming down that night. with my fist clinching and all my muscles seized ,holding my breath.
i try to tell myself that there are other people out there that have it way worst then i do. Most of my life its always been that way. this time we both are on a limb.
I have taken time off from work losing so many hours. my son is on a fixed income and i am doing whatever it takes to help both him and I. He will have to be place on rehab to work with his right leg even the nurses said they dont really know what the long term affect may be.
I don't really have the exact amount on what the cost will be for all the medical treatment but, I don't want to ask for too much either. So, I set this goal amount and from there once we get back on our feet we will figure out the rest through some type of payment. Prayers are needed as well we are forever grateful with anything.
