J. Berry's Art Campaign

Welcome to my fundraising page. My name is Jean Berry. 

Much like the legendary artist Anna Moses, better known as "Grandma Moses", I started my art career in earnest relatively late in life. When I was a child growing up in a  working-class family in Kansas City, MO, in the 1940's, my favorite past-time was to escape with scraps of paper and pencil and draw.  As I got older, this love never faded and eventually at the age of 48, I attended Drake University to study art.  I enjoy sharing my creations with the world. My work has been exhibited in  Philadelphia, PA, Des Moines, IA  and  Johannesburg, South Africa. 

At the age of 79,  I am working on exhibiting my art at art galleries throughout the country.  My first exhibit of 2018 was in Washington, DC on February 2, 2018.  The experience was phenomenal.  My ultimate goal is to exhibit my art in an art gallery in New York. I need your help. The money will be used to buy art supplies, frames, mattes and the like. Your support will also be used to help defray some of my travel expenses.

I know there are so many worthy causes competing for your generosity. I hope that you find my cause to be worthy.
