Creative workshops for the well-being of children

Hello,

My name is Caroline Murgue. I am French national with Korean roots. I was adopted at the age of 2 and raised in France. I currently live in New York City and am the founder of MOSHI Inc., a non-profit organization .

My French upbringing afforded me many opportunity to attend the finest universities and pursue a career as a medical anthropologist and creative director. While working with various international organizations, such as, Doctors without Borders, Doctors of the World and UNICEF, I decided to create, with the help of volunteers from all over the world, MOSHI Inc., a non-profit organization based in New York City.

The main objective of MOSHI is to promote the well-being of children, by providing them with philosophical tools to understand the complex world they live in, and to help them manage their daily stresses and responsibilities in their communities.

Our method aims at helping children reach a state of well-being through the development of reasoning and the use of art. Indeed, with the help of artistic techniques (e.g., theater, stop-motion animation, filmmaking, comic-book drawings, and playful debates), children can successfully answer complex philosophical questions, such as, who am I? What is just or fair? What is happiness?

In our experience, children not only develop critical thinking skills and experience inner peace, but with MOSHI they also achieve a state of social empowerment and an understanding with their classmates, friends and other children while having fun in an open, diverse setting.

We do not want to exclude any child from experiencing MOSHI, thus, our workshops are conducted at NO COST to families. We exist solely by financial contributions. Your donation to MOSHI will have a real social impact with every dollar given going directly to help create MOSHI workshops for children from various communities and backgrounds.

Since 2015, more than 4,000 children in France and the United States have benefited from the positive impact of MOSHI workshops. These workshops are flexible and adaptable and are conducted in schools, public libraries, public gardens and spaces, museums, festivals, and are free of charge for ALL children. Our goal is to raise enough so that we can reach out to more schools and public spaces and continue to plan workshops at no cost to the children who participate.

Please find a link to our website below, with additional information and background info. I am available to personally answer any and all questions and would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart and on behalf of MOSHI for your time and donation.

 Thanks a lot, Merci :)
