Montessori del Mar Community School

Looking for a good local cause to support where your donations will make a direct difference in children's lives? Our Montessori publicly funded school has to close because we could not find a way to remain open as a public school. We applied for a countywide charter as we serve students from two districts, Fort Bragg and Mendocino and believe this qualifies us for a countywide charter. We were denied. We explored many other avenues and met with dead ends. The exciting part is that we are re-opening as a private nonprofit Montessori school in Fall of 2018. As Director, I am committed to maintaining our diverse and inclusive learning community. Therefore, we have accepted half of our 47 students with reduced tuition. While this is great for our students and families, it's not so great for our budget. Our small community based nonprofit Montessori school could really use your help. Any contribution helps us fund our more students, staff, program, materials, and other costs. Our school provides a progressive child centered environment for diverse learners--some of whom would not succeed in more traditional settings. Please help us thrive!
